  1.                 Mailbox Command Cryptsheet.             (last update 10/16/92)
  2.                 ---------------------------
  3. All commands listed refer to Phil R. Karn, KA9Q's NOS.EXE program
  4. as modified and distributed by Johan. K. Reinalda, WG7J/PA3DIS,
  5. version 1.00 and later.
  6. For a full description of a command, use the 'HELP' command.
  7. If a version is listed, this indicates the earliest version in which
  8. those commands are available.
  9. To get the version of the system you're using, type the 'I' command.
  10.  
  11. ?               Give short list of all commands
  12.  
  13. A               Give list of message areas without descriptions
  14. AF (v1.02)      Give the areas list with descriptions (if set)
  15. AN (v1.05)      Show the areas that have new mail since you last logged off
  16. A name          Change to area 'name'
  17.  
  18. B               Bye (ie. disconnect)
  19.  
  20. C               Convers bridge (like Dx-CLUSTER), if available
  21. C node          Netrom connection, if permitted and available
  22. C port call     AX.25 connection, if permitted
  23.  
  24. CA              Connect to callbook server (if available)
  25.  
  26. D filename      Download textfile 'filename'
  27. DU              Download a uuencoded file (for binary files)
  28.  
  29. E               Show the escape character
  30. E char          Set the escape character to 'char' (one character!)
  31.  
  32. F               Finger users
  33.                 'F conf' will show conference bridge users (v1.05)
  34.                 'F iheard' will show the ip-heard list (v1.06)
  35.                 For local users, this will now show when the user was last
  36.                 logged in to the system. Eg 'F wg7j'
  37.  
  38. H               Help
  39. H x             Get help on command x
  40.  
  41. I               Info on system . Shows a message set by the sysop
  42.  
  43. IH (v1.06)      IHeard, shows recently heard tcp/ip stations.
  44.  
  45. IP (v1.05)      IProute, shows the tcp/ip routes the system maintains
  46.  
  47. J               Just heard, on all ports
  48. J port          Just heard on 'port'
  49.  
  50. K # #           Kill message # (one or more numbers accepted)
  51. KM              Kill Mine, kills all read messages
  52. KU              Un-kills messages previously marked to be killed
  53.  
  54. L               List new messages
  55. LA              List ALL messages in current area
  56. LB              List messages with message type B (bulletins)
  57. LM              List mine, lists new messages
  58. LL n            List last n messages
  59. LT              List message with message type T (traffic)
  60. L> xyz (v1.02)  List only messages with string 'xyz' in the To: field
  61. L< xyz (v1.03)  List only messages with string 'xyz' in the From: field
  62.  
  63. M               Shows current mailbox users
  64. ML              Shows all past users since system startup
  65. ML n (v1.02)    Shows the n past users since startup
  66. ML call (v1.02) Shows when 'call' logged on last
  67. MM name (v1.02) Move the current message to new area 'name' (remote SYSOP only)
  68. MM x [y,z] name Move messages x,y and z in current area to new area 'name'
  69. MS              Show message and system status
  70.  
  71. N               Alphabetical listing of known netrom nodes (if available)
  72. NR              Shows all netrom neighbour nodes
  73. N nodename/call Shows information about the route to the node
  74. N *             Shows infomation about all nodes (Long!)
  75.  
  76. O               Chat with operator (if system is attended)
  77.  
  78. P               Give a list of the ax.25 ports of the system (and description,
  79.                 if set by sysop)
  80.  
  81. R n             Read message n (a list of numbers is accepted)
  82. RH n (v1.01)    Read with headers (same as V command)
  83. RM              Read Mine, reads all unread messages
  84.  
  85. S               Send message (defaults to private)
  86. SB              Send bulletin (be carefull!)
  87. SC (v1.01)      Send with Carbon Copy to others
  88. SF              Forward current message to someone else
  89. SF n            Forward message number n to someone else
  90. SP              Send private message
  91. ST              Send traffic message
  92. SR (v1.01)      Send a reply to the current message
  93. SR n            Send a reply to message number n
  94.  
  95. T host [port]   Telnet to 'host' (if permitted) (the optional port specifies
  96.                 a tcp port if other then the telnet port)
  97.  
  98. U file          Upload a textfile
  99.  
  100. V n             Verbose read of message n (a list is accepted)
  101. VM              Verbose read of all unread messages
  102.  
  103. W               What files ? in the current directory
  104. W path          Listing of the directory 'path'. Wildcards ie.*, are accepted
  105.  
  106. X               Toggle Expert status
  107. XA (v1.02)      Toggle current area-indication in prompt
  108. XM (v1.01)      Show number of lines before more-prompt
  109. XM n            Set more-prompt to n lines
  110. XN (v1.02)      Toggle the 'Netrom look-alike' prompt on/off

  112. Z file          Zap (delete) a file (if permitted)
